What You Need to Know about the New Samsung Galaxy S20

Fans of the Samsung brand are anticipating the release of the new S20 phone that is scheduled to hit the market this spring. With its reputation for reliability and state-of-the-art features, Samsung has been exceptional in anticipating the types of features its customers need before they know they need them, which is why the new model is getting so much buzz. Here are a few of the most intriguing rumors being circulated about the new Samsung Galaxy S20.

The Samsung S20 will be released on March 6th. As anticipated, the new model will be 5G ready, which makes it the phone for the future. As 5G becomes widely available for a broader population, Samsung has ensured that its new model is ready to take on the new capabilities, as fans of their brand expect. The new Samsung S20 phone will be available at different price points. You will be able to choose an S20 and three different price levels. The “standard” will come at $850.  The “plus” model will cost $950. The “ultra” model will come in at $1200. The “ultra” will be the slightly larger version of the device. This should keep the brand well within affordability for a broad range of consumers.

Although Samsung has retained the basic look as its S10 models, the S20 will offer different colors: cosmic gray, cosmic black, cloud pink and cloud blue. However, color availability will vary by region. Special backing materials will also be available in some markets. The physical design of the new phone is approximately the same as the S10 model, but has less curvature along the corners. The size options in the S20 will be 6.4 inches, 6.7 inches, and 6.9 inches. This is a bit of an increase in size over the S10 models. The rear-facing camera lies in vertical line, instead of the previous horizontal configuration. The front-facing camera is activated by a center button at the top of the screen, rather than to the side on the previous model.

Features will show a number of improvements for users. The S20 offers 12 mega-pixel cameras in the standard and plus models. The higher end model will have 108MP and time-of-flight sensors (ToF), which improves the look of foreground and background details in portrait video and for AR applications. On-board storage will offer 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB options. The microSD card slot provides external storage up to 1TB. The phone will have 12GB and 16 GB RAM configurations. The new Samsung S20 is expected to provide some type of facial scanning, in addition to fingerprint reading, to provide security for the new device. Battery life is an important consideration for today’s users, and Samsung has provided a 4,000 mAh capability on the standard model, 4,500 mAh on the plus model and 5,000 mAh on the ultra model. Expect a 25W charger on the standard and plus models and a 45W charger on the ultra.

Keeping ahead of innovations, while maintaining quality and customer satisfaction. has been an area where Samsung has historically shined. With their new S20 phone, they are hoping to maintain their solid hold on marketshare, while offering features to attract new users.

The new Galaxy S20 models have a lot of bells and whistles to offer, first and foremost being 5G capability. Codenamed Picasso, the S20 features a phenomenal camera upgrade, as well as increased battery life and new screen sizes. The front camera is now centrally located, while the back camera lenses are housed in a hump on the back of the phone. There is a 48MP telephoto lens capable of a 5X optical zoom, along with a 48MP wide-angle lens. The Ultra model has a 108MP primary camera with automatic HDR. The battery life has also been upgraded, up to 5,000 mAh and standard super fast charging. The other notable upgrade is the increased screen size for each model, which is 6.2 inches for the S20, 6.7 inches for the S20+, and 6.9 inches for the S20 Ultra.

Samsung.com is obviously the first and best place to go for the new Samsung Galaxy S20 pre-order deals. The latest deal is free Galaxy Buds+ wireless earphones (worth $150) when customers pre-order the Galaxy S20 through the website. Those who register for pre-order access through Samsung will also get $35 instant credit for devices and accessories for the new S20 line. These generally include buy one, get one free deals, trade in specials, and price breaks for new and current customers who are ready to upgrade.

Consumers who are not yet ready to commit to buying a Samsung Galaxy S20 might be interested in deals on the Galaxy S10 models. The imminent release of the Galaxy S20 means that the S10 prices are sure to fall. This is especially true of the Galaxy Note 10+5G, as it has the new network capability at the reduced price of $689.99. Through the Samsung website, shoppers can get the S10e, S10, and S10+ at a $200 discount with a trade in, plus an additional $200 on all devices. At Costco, shoppers can save up to $800 with their AT&T membership wireless, while the S10 unlocked phone with 128GB in Prism Black is available for $579.99 at Best Buy. Get early access to the new Samsung Galaxy S20 line of smartphones! Preordering is now available on these state of the art phones, which offer larger screens, greater battery life, and camera technology that rivals anything out there. The Samsung Galaxy S20 will come in three versions: 6.2-inch Galaxy S20 (4G and 5G), Galaxy S20+ (4G and 5G), and Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G, all at increasing price points. While the S20 is rumored to cost around $850, the S20+ is anticipated to be around $950 and the Ultra is rumored to cost around $1,200. Want to get the latest Samsung Galaxy S20? Read on to find out how to preorder one of these Galaxy S20 models.

Why order the Samsung Galaxy S20 early? To get the best place in line! Plus, the perks make it worthwhile for consumers to reserve their spots. Customers who preorder the S20+ and the S20 Ultra through the Samsung website will get free Galaxy Buds wireless earphones. Preordering will also unlock early access to the phone itself, with shipments going out three days in advance of the launch of these phones in stores. Those who register for pre-order access through Samsung will also get $35 instant credit for devices and accessories for the new S20 line.

Samsung emphasizes that stock will be limited, so consumers who want in on the ground floor should not wait. And there are plenty of reasons to act now. Along with 5G capability, the new Samsung Galaxy S20 line of phones is nicknamed Picasso primarily due to the changes to the camera in each model. In addition to the screen size and camera improvements, the battery life has also been upgraded, up to 5,000 mAh and standard super fast charging. The performance is faster too, partly thanks to the Snapdragon upgrades in order to be ready for all that 5G can offer.

Rumors indicate that the big mobile network companies - such as AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, and T-Mobile - will have a range of deals available on the Samsung Galaxy S20 line of smartphones. These generally include buy one, get one free deals, trade in specials, and price breaks for new and current customers who are ready to upgrade. After the official unveiling of the Galaxy S20 line, the rumor mill should slow down considerably and major mobile networks will likely offer preorder packages of their own on this amazing new piece of technology. Customers holding out for better prices or not quite ready to upgrade can take advantage of lower prices on the Samsung Galaxy S10e, S10, and S10+. These prices have already been slashed by a minimum of $200 and are likely to come down even more as the Galaxy S20 line is unveiled.

Highlights of the New Samsung Galaxy S20

Up your game with the new Samsung Galaxy S20! The Samsung Galaxy S20 comes out on March 6 and is already creating plenty of buzz. From inception of the new phone, critics have thought that the S20 will make a run at the impending iPhone 12, which boasts big upgrades in a variety of aspects. Hype and rumors abound, but as the release date draws closer, several features have been confirmed. Three of the most impressive changes include camera upgrades, battery life, and increased screen size. When this new state of the art phone drops, be ready! Read on to find out some of the highlights of Samsung's new offering in their premier Galaxy line.

For starters, the Samsung Galaxy S20 was rebranded from the S11 (no, Samsung did not release nine phones between the S10 series and its incoming phone). Three versions of the S20 have been leaked: the S20 Ultra 5G, S20 Plus 5G, and S20 5G. Some of the standard features across all three versions are IP68 Water Resistance, 128 GB of internal storage, and the Android 10.0 operating system. And although camera specs vary depending on the version, all three cameras get big upgrades from the S10. The device will come with a 48 megapixel telephoto range which is accompanied by a 48 megapixel wide-range lens. Incredibly, engineers boast that the S20 Ultra's camera can instantaneously snap 108 megapixel images. Eager critics have wondered whether the S20 will put Samsung back on top in terms of smart phone camera technology. "Picasso" has been leaked as the code name for the S20, and it's likely that the improved camera is the reason behind the moniker.

Battery life is another area in which the S20 will be upgraded in a big way. While the device's new Snapdragon 865 processor and its accompanying 5G capability will eat up more battery life, the update looks poised to overcompensate, with between 4,000 and 5,000 (depending on the version) mAh, compared to a spectrum of 3,100 to 4,500 on the S10 range. Additionally, 45W Super Fast charging will be featured in all three phones. In terms of display, a rather chocking change will be Samsung's departure from its vintage curved edges. The S20 will move back to the flat glass design of other popular cell phone models. That said, screen size will increase from the last Galaxy devices. The S20 5G, S20 Plus 5G, and S20 Ultra 5G will come with screen sizes of 6.2 inches, 6.7 inches, and 6.9 inches, respectively. The difference is noteworthy but not drastic, as the S10e, S10, S10 Plus, and S10 5G featured screens of 5.8 inches, 6.1 inches, 6.4 inches, and 6.7 inches, respectively.

Concrete prices for the S20 aren't yet available, but historical data and reported new features can provide some educated guesses. In all likelihood, the S20 will cost somewhere between $850 and $900. The Plus and Ultra versions will probably range between $1,150 and $1600. Samsung emphasizes that stock will be limited, so consumers who want in on the ground floor should act now.
