Why You Should Own the Cadillac XT4

The Cadillac XT4 is a luxury crossover SUV that was introduced in 2018. It is available in either front- or all-wheel drive. The XT4 is positioned below the larger Cadillac XT5 in the automaker's lineup.

SUV owners prefer the XT4 because its smaller size makes it easier to maneuver in tight spaces, and its standard engine is both powerful and fuel-efficient. The XT4 also has an upscale interior with plenty of standard features, including a touchscreen infotainment system.

The spacious interior has plenty of room for five adults. The front seats are comfortable and offer a good range of adjustment, while the rear seats are spacious and provide good legroom. The cargo area is large enough to accommodate all of your gear, and the seats fold flat to make room for more luggage.

All versions of the XT4 come standard with a rearview camera, front and rear parking sensors, lane departure warning, automatic high beams, and rain-sensing windshield wipers. Some of the optionally available driver assistance features include blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning with lane keeping assist, automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection, and a surround-view camera system.

The XT4 has good acceleration, and the transmission shifts smoothly. The all-wheel-drive system helps the SUV handle well in all types of weather conditions. This SUV is equipped with a powerful engine that gives the optimal performance of a sports utility vehicle. Across the various trim levels — Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport — all three have a turbocharged four-cylinder engine and a nine-speed automatic transmission. It is rated at 235 hp.

The brakes are reliable and have a good feel. However, the brake pads may need to be replaced sooner than usual due to the XT4's size and weight. Change the motor oil every 5,000 miles to keep the engine running smoothly. Service the vehicle regularly, and replace the tires when they become worn.

The base model includes impressive exterior features like 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights and taillights, automatic dual-zone climate control, and an eight-way power-adjustable front passenger seat. Thanks to acoustic laminated glass and active noise cancellation, the cabin is surprisingly quiet. No matter what time of year it is, you'll stay comfortable thanks to heated front seats and dual-zone automatic climate control.

The Sport trim comes with front cornering lamps, alloy sport pedals, and four-way power lumbar support. The Luxury model features power-folding outside mirrors and an upgraded infotainment system.
