Finding the Best Deals on the New Cadillac CT5

In the crowded mid-sized sedan field, the newest 2021 Cadillac CT5 holds its own and then some. While the CT5 has not changed a lot since it was introduced a few years ago, updates are unnecessary. Taking a cue from its European competitors, the Cadillac CT5 has become even more fun to drive, with more accurate and responsive handling, four engine choices, and five trim levels to choose from. There is also a racetrack-ready CT5-V model that is a monster, and some consider it a different animal altogether. The best deals to be had are found in which trim and options you choose. The Luxury Trim and the CTS-V Sports packages are the best deals as far as trim, and the driver confidence package is the best deal among the options available. The CTS ranges from $45,000 to $90,000, depending on trim and options chosen. Read on to find out what you need to know about the 2019 Cadillac CTS.

The Luxury Trim is not the cheapest, but it is the best deal from a cost perspective. It is in the middle of the trim packages available and has the 3.6 liter V6 as an option. The base engine is a four-cylinder that has plenty of power in its own right, but the 3.6-liter V6 gives you the feeling you always have a little more power available, pumping out 335 horsepower and 285 lb-ft torque. The Luxury trim is only about $2,000 more than the base trim and you get a lot more car for that money. Standard features at this trim level include a panoramic sunroof, a navigation system, automatic wipers, lane departure warning and intervention, forward collision alert, blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.

The CT5 V-Sport is the best overall deal. It costs more, but comes with a lot of sports-related items that give you the full luxury-sports package. This is not to be confused with the CT5-V, which is the racetrack ready car. Still, this one cranks out 420 horsepower with its 3.6 liter V6. It can get from zero to 60 in less than five seconds. The V-Sport has the extra features of the Luxury trim, along with bells and whistles that include a driver-selectable Track mode for high-performance driving, an electronic limited-slip rear differential, and an upgraded cooling system. The Cadillac CT5 V-Sport has a standard sunroof as well, along with sports suspension and heavy-duty brakes. At this trim, the car can also park itself as standard equipment.

The driver confidence package adds all the safety features GM has at its disposal to put into its flagship luxury sedan, which is the 2021 Cadillac CT5. It has blind spot warning, automatic windshield wipers, rear-view camera, lane keep assistance and warning, and some front-crash mitigation. It has automatic braking. Another feature that is pretty cool is one that anticipates when someone may be entering your blind spot and notifies you. This can be helpful when a car behind you changes lanes and speeds up. Variable cruise control is also part of the deal.
