While the first generation foldable phone - the Galaxy Fold - left much to be desired, Samsung redeemed itself by producing the Z Flip. Caviar took the design and ran with it, creating three modern, luxurious designs. These include a Carbon Titanium Edition, a Gold Edition, and a Joker and Harley Quinn Edition. The Carbon Titanium Z Flip has a titanium frame with a layer of black carbon fiber that lines the back. This stylish look is from the future and geared toward men, with the additional advantages of being tough and scratch-resistant. This phone is ready to go anywhere, from outdoor adventures to the boardroom to a weekend getaway for some much-needed R&R. The Caviar logo takes center stage on the top back of the phone, underneath the camera lenses and flash, cementing the phone's status without being too ostentatious. The cost of this limited edition Samsung Z Flip is $5,690.
The Gold Edition, however, is all about attracting attention. Marketed toward women, this Z Flip is glamorously covered in 999 gold with a unique mesh design. The Caviar logo is front and center where everyone can see it, along with the brand's name stamped in gold along the bottom. The Gold Edition limited edition Z Flip is priced at $6,000.
The third limited edition Z Flip is the Joker and Harley Quinn Edition. Covered in 24-karat gold, this phone is sure to attract attention, especially by card players. The border around the phone is engraved with card suits - clubs, diamonds, spades, and hearts - reflecting Joker's propensity for decks of cards. Joker and Harley Quinn adorn both folding parts of the Z Flip. Caviar will produce only 54 units of this design, each priced at $5,400.
Not ready to shell out five grand for the new Z Flip? Good news! The regular black and purple models are priced at a more reasonable $1,380. Plus, they're the same in function as the limited edition models. The Z Flip main display is an impressive 6.7 inches when fully opened and when closed, it has a small 1.06-inch panel that gives owners quick access to some basic info, such as battery life and time. The Z Flip is outfitted with 256GB of storage, 8GB of RAM and Snapdragon 855+ processor. There are two batteries, one with a 900-mAh capacity and a 3,300-mAh battery, and the Z Flip comes ready for wireless charging. There are two rear cameras, which are 12 megapixel, and one is an ultra-wide camera. The camera in the front is a 10 megapixel. The Z Flip proves that no matter what's on the outside, this smartphone is a pretty sweet deal.
