Went in for an IPL treatment to get rid of my sunspots on my face mostly around my eyes. The aesthetician gave me an ice pack to put on my face for about 5mins. She then gave me some sunglasses and stuck gel to the area where the sunspots were then she started the treatment. She had a hand held device that was hooked up to a bigger machine that pulsed light onto my face. Man! It hurt! After the treatment, she put some lotion on my face and gave me an ice pack. My face felt like it was badly sunburned and red for about 30mins.

The sunspots are getting dark! It looks like I have huge dark freckles on my face. The treatment is supposed to draw pigment irregularities to the surface of the skin. So I guess this means it’s working!

I am noticing that my dark spots are disappearing. I guess they are flaking off.

After a week, my face looks great! For having one treatment, I can see that mostly all of my sunspots are gone! I have some that are still there but it seems to be lighter and smaller. I will go in for another treatment in about 4 months. You can do these treatments a month apart. I was told that mine was not that severe so 2-3 treatments would take care of them. Also my skin seems to be firmer and softer.

Overall I would recommend this to anyone. The treatment was tolerable and there were no downtime. You can drive home after the treatment! It made my skin look even, less freckly and my sunspots were almost gone after one treatment! I gave it 4 stars because the treatment was pretty pricey. My one treatment cost me $450. It’s just hard to spend $1350 for 3 treatments.
