I signed up with Aspiration so I could have an account on the side to save money for travel. This is an ideal vacation account because there are free ATMs. When you’re on a trip and need to get cash, you can use an ATM that isn’t affiliated with your bank, even when traveling internationally. Aspiration will reimburse any fees, too. There’s no minimum balance requirement or monthly charges, so I was able to start my vacation fund with $25 and grow it from there. Once my account got up to $2,500, I earned 1% APY interest, which was ...

I like Ally because they have higher interest rates than most banks on their savings accounts. For me, adding a checking account was a no-brainer. Their website and app are very easy to use and transfers are simple to set up. I get free checks, and there are no monthly fees or minimum balances. If I need to speak with someone I can just call any time of day or night with no wait. Getting cash from ATMs is easy, with access to over 40,000 ATMs for free.

I switched to a Discover Bank checking account because I can earn cash back. It’s easy: I get 10 cents each time I use my debit card, pay a bill online, or write a check. I get up to $10 a month. But I already had a Discover Card, so keep in mind that to qualify for the checking account you either need a credit card or savings account through Discover. It’s worth the effort for the cash back, plus there are no fees or minimum balance required. And there are more than 60,000 ATMs for customers to use ...

I love this bank. There are no frills, but everything is straightforward. There are no minimum balances or maintenance fees, and all my banking is done with my smartphone and with a debit card without all the fees and strings attached. They can’t take cash deposits, but it’s super easy to transfer money back and forth into and out of the checking account. The account budget options are incredible and changed the way I manage money. Keeps me on my budget and out of spending trouble. If you need cash, there are more than 40,000 ATMs that I can ...

I opened an account here because I was looking for a bank where I could put in just a little bit of money. Fortunately, Radius allows customers to open checking accounts for just $10. There are no monthly fees, so I didn’t have to worry about my money getting eaten up right away by the bank. There are tons of ATMs that I can use for free, both in and out of network. Radius never charges ATM fees, but non-network ATMs do. That’s okay, because Radius Bank gives refunds each month of any fees charged by non-network ATMs. I ...

While I was initially skeptical of online banking, Ally has won me over. Both their checking and savings accounts require no minimum balance and the savings account pays a healthy 1.25%. By linking my savings account to my checking account I am able to transfer funds between the two and utilize my checks and ATM to access my money. Online banking is a lot easier than I ever expected and with my two accounts linked it is as seamless as a traditional brick and mortar bank. I highly recommend ally to all of my friends, especially those that are ...

I have a Bank of America checking account and applied for the credit card too. This card is great because there isn't a fee and the rewards are awesome. I get a bonus because of my checking account and my rewards are 10% more than my friends! The more money you have in your other Bank of America accounts the higher the bonus rate. There isn't a fee to use it overseas and my base reward rate is 1.5% which is cool because I like to go out to eat a lot with my friends. I think that if ...

Chase said there would be no application fees or closing fees, but they didn't tell me there would be a origination fee or annual fee, but whatever. I like that the home equity loan is established as a line of credit, because I wasn't sure how much I actually needed.  They are giving me 20 years to repay the loan and you have a choice between a fixed rate and variable. I went with fixed. By opening a checking account with them I got a discounted rate, giving me a pretty good deal on my loan despite the fees.

ID Shield does a great job of monitoring credit. Unlike other companies, it is much more affordable too. You can find a decent plan that will give you plenty of protection. Credit monitoring is effective and alerts you to all suspicious activity to ensure your private information stays private. Among the things they monitor include loans, checking accounts credit accounts and similar things. Once you pay for the service, you really don’t have to do anything. Just sit back and let ID Shield monitor your credit for you.
